Hearst Magazines appoints Liz Plosser as Editor-in-Chief of Women's Health -

Hearst Magazines has announced that Liz Plosser has been appointed editor-in-chief of Women's Health, the global health and wellness authority, with 29 editions in 53 countries. The announcement was made by Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz and Hearst Magazines President David Carey. Plosser succeeds Amy Keller Laird, who held the role since 2014.

Women's Health was acquired in January and is now part of Hearst Magazines' Young Women's Group, under Editorial Director and Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Michele Promaulayko, to whom Plosser will report. Her appointment is effective January 22.

Previously, Plosser was senior vice president of content at Well+Good, a premier lifestyle and news publication devoted to wellness, where she led the editorial, branded content, audience development, video and product teams, and managed a robust contributors' network.

Before that, Plosser was senior director of content and communications at SoulCycle, overseeing multichannel content, as well as creating business-driving strategies and campaigns. Earlier, she was fitness director and then deputy editor of SELF and senior health and fitness editor at Cosmopolitan, where she assigned, wrote and edited the magazine's health, fitness and nutrition content, including the brand's first National Magazine Award-winning feature package in 2013.
