Hematologists can now earn CME credits through journal Blood -

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) is offering physicians who diagnose and treat blood disorders a new resource for earning continuing medical education (CME) credits. Through a partnership with Medscape, an online network of medical content for physicians and other health professionals, hematologists can earn CME credits by testing their comprehension of articles published in ASH’s biomedical journal Blood. The first Blood article to offer CME credit has been included in the January 28 issue, both in print and online. Blood is published weekly, and one CME article will appear in the journal in the fourth week of every month. By completing a set of study questions after reading the selected article, physicians will have a convenient and effective way of earning credits to maintain board certification, enhancing their knowledge on the subject matter, and improving the care they provide to patients.

Medscape is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. To earn CME credit for selected Blood articles, physicians should visit cme.medscape.com/cme/blood. Other CME opportunities offered through ASH can be found at www.hematology.org/practice.
