Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced that Hereditary Cancer in Clinical Practice has recently joined the growing number of journals opting to transfer to BioMed Central's open access platform. The move will complement the exposure generated from the journal's recent acceptance for tracking by Thomson Reuters (Impact Factor due 2010).
Hereditary Cancer in Clinical Practice is the third journal to transfer to BioMed Central's open access publishing platform this year. The journal publishes articles of interest for the cancer genetics community. Led by Editors-in-Chief, Jan Lubiński, Rodney J. Scott and Rolf Sijmons, it will continue to provide a discussion forum for the development of appropriate health care strategies for cancer genetics.
All articles published in Hereditary Cancer in Clinical Practice will be archived in PubMed Central, the US National Library of Medicine's full-text repository of life science literature, and also at INIST in France and in e-Depot, the National Library of the Netherlands' digital archive of all electronic publications. The journal is also participating in the British Library's e-journals pilot project, and plans to deposit copies of all articles with the British Library.
