Library automation solutions provider SirsiDynix has announced that Highland City Library, a local library in Utah, has opted for its SirsiDynix Symphony for new ILS. Highland City Library chose to adopt SirsiDynix's Symphony following a competitive tender process. In their migration away from Innovative Interfaces' Polaris, Highland City Library chose to supplement their Symphony ILS with sophisticated SirsiDynix solutions, including Enterprise, MobileCirc, BLUEcloud Analytics, and SaaS.
Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Highland City Library (HCL) serves a population of just over 17,000. The library, formerly operating out of a junior high school, served both Highland and the city of Alpine. In 2008, HCL relocated to Highland City Hall, where the team has refocused their efforts to serve the community and further their mission to provide ‘all residents with access to information that educates, inspires, and entertains.'
SirsiDynix automated solutions will support the management work of HCL, while the data hosting will provide a dependable backing that can grow with the library. Highland City Library is scheduled to go live at the end of August.
