HighWire Press, Inc., technology platform and strategic partner to influential scholarly publishers and societies, recently announced the appointment of Wendy Newsham as Director of Business Development, North America.
Wendy joins the team eager to drive new business through strategic marketing and business development channels. She has worked in publishing for over 25 years and has been thoroughly involved in all aspects of the publishing process - from manuscript submission and tracking, through content production, to manufacturing and distribution - serving association and society publishers, as well as commercial publishers and university presses.
Wendy comes to HighWire from her previous role as Director of Client Services at Aries Systems. Prior to that she was Sales Director for Cadmus/Cenveo and Sheridan. Her publishing services experience extends back to 1990 when she worked for Banta (now part of RRD) in the educational publishing market. She has been actively involved with SSP, co-chairing the development committee, as well as with other industry organisations. Wendy is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
