HighWire Press, a technology service provider to influential scholarly publishers, has announced that it is consolidating the business development and publisher relations teams into a comprehensive
publisher services organisation led by Louise Page.
Integrating these two business groups extends HighWire's focus of building world class strategic relationships with scholarly publishers and the scholarly publishing community. Under Louise's leadership, the new market‐facing team will draw on HighWire's core strengths, enabling them to innovate with greater speed and organizational efficiency in the constantly evolving field of digital publishing.
Louise has a rich background in scholarly publishing. Since joining HighWire in 2000, she has led the growth and success of some of HighWire's largest publishers. Her range is considerable: from the implementation of HighWire's Bench>Press manuscript tracking and management system, to the execution of the HighWire strategic road mapping process. Before joining HighWire, Louise worked at John Wiley & Sons and Oxford University Press. In 1994, she conceived and launched the first online journal that became the catalyst for Wiley InterScience.
