The International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) will hold its 2026 Annual Conference on August 6–7 in Seoul, South Korea. The event, hosted by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), is organized in partnership with the Science and Technology Libraries Section.
The conference theme, Ensuring Scientific Quality and Integrity in the Age of AI, will guide presentations and discussions with experts on challenges and opportunities in scientific communication.
Two open workshops are scheduled as part of the program:
• Analysis of Scientific Text: Strategies and Use Cases, featuring practical sessions led by Wikimedia Korea.
• Trust, Integrity, and Governance for STI in the AI Era, focusing on governance, accountability, and policy frameworks for reliable scientific and technical information services.
The conference aims to provide a platform for dialog on maintaining quality and trust in science and technology information in the context of rapid AI adoption.
