IEEE Access accepted for inclusion into Thomson Reuters Science Citation Index Expanded -

IEEE Access, an award-winning, open-access multidisciplinary journal published by IEEE, has been accepted into the Thomson Reuters Science Citation Index Expanded. Starting with Volume 1 of 2013, IEEE Access will now be included with more than 6,500 notable journals, in the Web of Science, Journal Citation Report, and Current Contents Engineering, Computing and Technology edition.

Inclusion in Thomson Reuters Science Citation Index Expanded will allow researchers to accurately track citations of IEEE Access articles in later research and to measure their impact.

IEEE Access is also expected to receive its first Impact Factor rating in June of 2016. This will provide a snapshot of how frequently IEEE Access articles are cited in other journals during a particular year.

The 2016 Impact Factor will cover volumes from 2013, 2014, and 2015.

The journal employs a rapid, binary peer-review process with a typical submission to publication time of just four to six weeks and offers articles that are of high interest to readers—original, technically correct, and clearly presented. The scope of this all-electronic, archival publication comprises all IEEE fields of interest, emphasizing applications-oriented and interdisciplinary articles.
