The IEEE Computer Society, a membership organisation for computing professionals, has announced that all 2011 issues of its journal Transactions will be available in EPUB format to subscribers.
The EPUB format provides subscribers with another option when it comes to accessing Computer Society content. Issues can now be read in eReaders that support the .epub file format. This includes the iBooks application on the iPad, the Nook, Samsung Galaxy and Adobe Digital Editions for desktop viewing. Readers can now take advantage of their eReader features while viewing content: bookmark, highlight, use hyperlinks, and adjust image and text size.
The IEEE Computer Society publishes 14 peer-reviewed, scholarly journals representing the best in computer science research and theory. Many are consistently among the world's most frequently cited scholarship.
