The IEEE Computer Society has introduced a free iPad application for Computer, its flagship magazine.
The app is designed to allow the Society to provide the magazine to mobile users and enhance the reading experience in many ways, including interviews with thought leaders, videos, slideshows, podcasts and extra written content. Each issue provides easy navigation through a clickable table of contents and links to its peer-reviewed articles. In addition, readers can easily search and share, and a library puts past issues at readers' fingertips.
Subscribers can go to the Apple Apps Store and search for ‘IEEE Computer’ to begin reading the magazine on their iPad. They can install the free app and register as prompted. For non- subscribers, the app will indicate how to subscribe.
Presenting the latest research, trends and technological advances, Computer seeks to serve as a tool in helping computing professionals keep up to date on new developments in the ever-changing field of computing.
