The IEEE Xplore digital library, one of the world's largest collections of technical literature in engineering, computer science, and related technologies, recently reached a milestone with a total of over 4 million documents now available in its vast repository.
Since its launch in 2000 with an initial collection of 500,000 documents, IEEE Xplore has experienced significant growth each year, resulting in this most recent milestone. This growth is a direct result of the rapid pace of today's technology innovations and the fact that authors from academia and industry from all corners of the world increasingly choose IEEE to publish their research.
The IEEE Xplore online collection includes content from more than 180 IEEE journals and magazines, over 1,500 annual conferences, more than 1,300 active technology standards, 400 elearning courses, and 2,000 ebooks.
