IET launches new Open Access Journal – IET Blockchain -

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has launched a new gold open access multi-disciplinary journal - IET Blockchain. The first issue of the journal will publish in January 2021 and aims to attract original research and survey articles dedicated to theories, methodologies and tools for the design, implementation and operation of blockchain technologies.

Showcasing the very best of engineering science, gold open access allows researchers to publish their most innovative and novel work in the knowledge that it will be accessible to anyone wishing to read it, cite it and re-use it.

IET Fellow and Professor Erwu Lui, who is also a member of the Alcatel-Lucent technical academy, and a member of the China Computer Federation has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the journal, along with Co-Editor-in-Chief My T. Thai, who is a UF Research Foundation Professor of Computer & Information Sciences & Engineering and Associate Director of Nelms Institute for the Connected World at the University of Florida. The journal is now accepting submissions for the inaugural issue.

In a related announcement, IET has partnered with the State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute Co.,Ltd. (SPERI) to launch a new gold open access multi-disciplinary journal - Energy Conversion and Economics. The journal covers technical, economic, management and policy issues in many subjects of energy engineering, electrical engineering and transportation engineering.

Dong, Professor and Director of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute and ARC Research Hub for Integrated Energy Storage Solutions at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia; Guangfu Tang, President of the Global Energy Interconnect Research Institute (GEIRI) and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE); and Fushuan Wen, Professor in Zhejiang University, China since 1997, and is a part-time distinguished professor in Hangzhou Dianzi University, China, will serve as the Editors-in-Chief.
