IGI Global Scientific Publishing and Athabasca University renew open access agreement -

IGI Global Scientific Publishing has renewed its open access publishing agreement with Athabasca University, extending a long-standing collaboration that supports open and discoverable scholarly communication.

Under the agreement, Athabasca University faculty will continue to receive Article Processing Charge (APC) funding from the university library to publish in IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s Open Access Journal Program. The program encompasses nearly 200 journals spanning Business & Management, Science, Technology, & Medicine (STM) and Education & Social Sciences. Faculty authors publishing under CC BY licensing gain increased visibility, discoverability, and citation impact across journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Hershey, Pennsylvania,the independent academic publisher collaborates with more than 200,000 experts from leading institutions and produces over 1,200 books annually, with a collection exceeding 10,000 titles. Its open access journal program ranks among the world’s largest, featuring close to 200 fully open access journals.

The renewed partnership reinforces a shared commitment to advancing open access publishing and broadening global access to scholarly research.
