IGI Global Scientific Publishing introduces Manuscript Matcher for books and journals -

IGI Global Scientific Publishing has introduced a Manuscript Matcher tool within its eEditorial Discovery System to help researchers identify book and journal publishing opportunities that align with their manuscripts.

The tool evaluates publication opportunities based on the scope, focus, and objectives of researchers’ work. By helping authors identify suitable outlets before submission, the service aims to reduce scope mismatches that can result in additional revisions, resubmissions, and publication delays.

Unlike manuscript-matching services that focus exclusively on journals, IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s tool covers both journals and books. It provides access to nearly 200 open access journals and thousands of traditionally published books seeking chapter submissions across business and management, science, technology and medicine (STM), education, and social sciences.

Melissa Wagner, vice president of publishing ethics and research integrity at IGI Global Scientific Publishing, explained that the service is intended to help researchers, scholarly communication librarians, and the wider academic community identify publication opportunities that align with their research objectives. She added that directing manuscripts to suitable journals and books at the outset could help reduce scope mismatches, support editorial quality control, and encourage responsible publishing practices.

Researchers can access the Manuscript Matcher through IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s eEditorial Discovery System to explore potential publishing opportunities for their work.
