IGI Global Scientific Publishing has renewed an Open Access Agreement with East Carolina University (ECU), continuing a collaboration designed to support open access publishing.
Under the agreement, ECU faculty receive Article Processing Charge (APC) and Chapter Processing Charge (CPC) funding from the university library to publish in IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s Open Access Journal Program. The program includes nearly 200 journals across Business & Management, Science, Technology, & Medicine (STM), and Education & Social Sciences. Articles are published under CC BY licensing, supporting increased visibility, discoverability, and citation impact across journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
The renewed agreement is presented as reinforcing a shared commitment to removing barriers to open access and increasing the visibility and impact of scholarly research.
IGI Global Scientific Publishing also offers a Flat-Fee (Unlimited) Open Access Publishing Agreement, enabling libraries to provide unlimited open access publishing under a single predictable fee. Flexible Read & Publish models are available, combining open access publishing with access to the publisher’s e-Book Collection through subscription, evidence-based acquisition (EBA), or perpetual license. The collection includes more than 10,000 scholarly e-books and over 200,000 peer-reviewed chapters supporting institutional teaching and research.
East Carolina University offers more than 85 bachelor’s, 72 master’s, and 19 doctoral degrees to nearly 29,000 students at the Greenville, North Carolina campus and through online programs. The university’s school of medicine is nationally recognized for producing primary care physicians and for work in cardiovascular research, advanced robotic surgery, and obesity and diabetes research. The institution also reports the largest business school enrollment and the largest number of new nurses and education professionals produced by a four-year North Carolina university, as well as the largest studio art program in the state.
The renewal continues collaboration between the publisher and the university in support of open access publishing initiatives.
