Electronic content delivery solutions provider Impelsys, US, has named Robert F. Kidd executive vice president of sales. In his new position, Robert will be based in the company's New York headquarters and will report directly to Sameer Shariff, founder and CEO of the company.
Robert will be responsible for sales and business development, supporting Impelsys' business in the US, the largest market for eBook publishing and sales. He has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry. Most recently, he was a vice president at Innodata Isogen Inc., where he led the professional publishing practice. Previously, he was vice president of global content services and international sales for Cadmus Communications Corp., was an executive officer of KnowledgeWorks, and senior director of publishing at Ovid Technologies, Inc.
Impelsys is coming off a very successful 2012 and has aggressive growth strategies in place for 2013. The company is the developer of iPublishCentral, a digital publishing software platform. iPublishCentral is the eBooks technology infrastructure used by some of the largest science, technology, medical publishers, academic publishers and professional associations in the world.
