Electronic content delivery solutions provider Impelsys, US, has announced the launch of its iPad module for iPublishCentral, the industry-leading e-publishing platform, to empower publishers to get their customised iPad apps and deliver content on iPad. The iPad module on iPublishCentral will be showcased at the ongoing Frankfurt Book Fair 2010, for the first time.
This new module will empower publishers to offer their customers content on iPad through their own customised iPad apps. The iPublishCentral platform is a scalable solution that empowers publishers to keep up with industry trends. The customised iPad app will allow users to connect effortlessly to the publishers eBookstore, access the catalogue of titles, preview content, and make instant purchases through their iPAD app, thereby opening up new opportunities for sales and content delivery.
Since its launch, many new features and functionalities have been added to iPublishCentral. Some of the other significant updates made to iPublishCentral include:
ACS4 server integration that ensures publishers' PDF and EPUB files are protected and delivered onto eInk devices; Single Sign-On option for institutional users, that allows them to use their existing accounts to access content on iPublishCentral, with Shibboleth authentication; and redemption of pre-generated PIN codes, by users, to access content available on iPublishCentral even from a third-party portal.
