Academic publisher Taylor & Francis, UK, has announced that the first issue of the Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship is now in circulation. Formerly entitled The Acquisitions Librarian through Vol 19, #4, the journal now focuses on electronic resources management. Bonnie Tijerina, Coordinator of the Electronic Resources & Libraries Conference, serves as editor of the journal.
A quarterly publication, the Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship seeks to provide a much-needed scholarly forum for librarians and other information professionals. The journal addresses evolving work-related processes and procedure, current research, and latest news on topics related to electronic resources and the digital environment's impact on collecting, acquiring, and making accessible library materials. It also provides opinion pieces, book reviews, conference presentations, and e-resources related updates.
The Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship strives to find a balance between original, scholarly research, and practical communications about relevant topics in electronic resources librarianship. The journal is projected as an indispensable resource for library administrators, librarians, information professionals, educators, and students.
