Business information provider Incisive Media, UK, has announced that Online Information Exhibition and Conference, dubbed as the largest UK event dedicated to the information industry, will take place from November 29 – December 1, 2011, at Olympia Conference Centre, London. The event seeks to bring together thought leaders from around the world to face the opportunities and challenges of being an information professional today.
The exhibition is expected to attract thousands of people from all over the globe while boasting more than 200 international exhibitors. There will be an extensive educational seminar programme which will be situated in a new hall at Olympia, the National Hall. A variety of show floor features designed to centre on key sectors will be a focal point in this year’s event including the Library Management Zone focusing on library systems, library security and RFID solutions, as well as the XML Pavilion exploring different aspects of creating and publication of e-books, web and print.
The Online Information Conference will run alongside in the Olympia Conference Centre. The theme of this year’s conference is Information and Collaboration: Meeting the challenges of a mobile generation. Craig Newmark of Craigslist and author Rachel Botsman are among the keynote speakers this year.
Mix and match seminar tracks each day are seen to enable attendees to suit their priorities and interests. Interested parties may choose from seminar tracks such as Going mobile: Information and knowledge on the move; Social Media: Exploiting knowledge in networks; Building a framework for the future of the information profession; New frontiers in information management; and Search and Information Discovery.
