Informa Healthcare selects Atypon for mobile content delivery -

Atypon, a provider of software to the publishing and media industry, has announced that medical and scientific publisher Informa Healthcare has selected Literatum for Mobile as the cornerstone of its mobile content delivery strategy.

Informa Healthcare, a division of Informa plc, publishes authoritative research and analysis as well as up-to-date news for all sectors of the healthcare and life sciences community. Being able to access this content anytime anywhere is seen to be of critical importance to readers.

Literatum for Mobile claims to be the only product that provides a fully integrated solution for delivering the full text of professional and scholarly journals to institution subscribers—even if the reader is roaming outside of the institution network. All usage is included in the institution's COUNTER reports.

Non-Apple devices account for nearly 40 percent of Literatum for Mobile activations to date, reinforcing the need for a cross-platform mobile strategy. The Nielsen Company recently announced that Android is now the most popular operating system among people who bought a smartphone in the past six months.
