Informa Pharmaceutical Science, a division of Informa Business Information, is set to launch a new web platform for its 40 journals, providing readers with a high-tech one-stop-shop for drug discovery and development scientific news and research. The new Atypon-hosted platform, www.informapharmascience.com, provides access to all Informa Pharmaceutical Science content. This includes journals such as Current Medical Research and Opinion, the Critical Reviews and Expert Opinion series, Drug Metabolism Reviews, Xenobiotica and the Journal of Medical Economics. Amongst the many new features offered by the platform, end users have the option of table of contents alerts, online trials, single article purchase and subscription opportunities.
The new online content management and delivery system is being provided by Atypon Systems, Inc. The Atypon system enables Informa Pharmaceutical Science to integrate the online content of all 40 journals with a comprehensive archive service giving pharma and healthcare professionals one central source of information spanning the fields of pharmaceutical science and discovery.
The changeover will be made as easy and seamless as possible for subscribers, with most of the groundwork being done by Informa in the run up to and during a significant dual-hosting period which will run into April 2009. Clear guidelines of how to register and activate the subscription are being provided to all users.
