Ingram Content Group Inc. has announced enhancements to its widely-adopted ipage search and order content platform including new functionality that makes searching, selecting and ordering materials easy for academic libraries worldwide.
New features to ipage will include multiple search, filtering and content sorting options in addition to functionality to review and manage new title notifications and print and e-book approval plans. In addition to fast search results and intuitive navigation, other tools developed exclusively for Ingram academic library customers, include batch title processing choices and options to stay connected with colleagues anywhere with forwarding and email options and quick access to a view of actions taken on titles.
With ipage, customers have comprehensive tools that assist in prioritising the critical information they need to search, order and deliver more content to more patrons. Libraries can develop and maintain an infinite number of title lists on the platform, and can customise processes to work with any collection development and acquisition workflow.
The new ipage enhancements will launch in the fourth quarter of 2014. Ingram has plans to integrate its OASIS platform for libraries with ipage beginning in fourth quarter, and will transition customers to the integrated platform in phases through mid-2015.
Developed and launched in 1998, ipage remains the leading online search, order, and account management tool for the book industry and libraries worldwide. With major upgrades and enhancements since its initial launch, further development of ipage has been accelerated as the needs of libraries are changing.
