Ingram Content Group Inc., a US-based provider of physical and digital services to the book industry, has announced that Vital Source Technologies, Inc., one of its operating units, has been awarded two Telly Awards for innovative work in educational video production. The Telly Award seeks to honour the finest video and film productions, outstanding cable TV commercials and programmes and online commercials, video and films.
Vital Source is engaged in developing e-textbooks, interactive media and innovative high-quality videos for the education community. It received the awards for the TeachSource Early Childhood Education Videos produced for Cengage Learning, and a video in the America Achieves Fellows series, 'What Makes a Great Teacher?', developed for America Achieves.
The two 2013 awards given to Vital Source by the Telly Award organisation follow five awards given in 2012 for excellence in video production.
A panel of more than 500 industry professionals, each a past winner of a Telly and a member of the Silver Telly Council, judged the competition. The council evaluated entries to recognise distinction in creative work. This year, the 34th Annual Telly Awards received over 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
