IntechOpen Editor to present open access publishing insights at Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca‑Editorial -

IntechOpen Editor Dr. Jorge Morales-Montor will serve as a plenary speaker at the Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca-Editorial, scheduled for March 4–6, 2026, at the Auditorio José María Vigil of the Biblioteca Nacional de México.

As part of the program, Dr. Morales-Montor will present on his experience collaborating with IntechOpen as an Academic Editor, outlining how open access publishing can increase research visibility and broaden academic reach through demonstrated publishing outcomes. His plenary lecture is scheduled for March 6 at 9 a.m.

Dr. Morales-Montor is Professor of Immunology at the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He has received more than 35 academic awards and previously served as President of the Mexican Society of Parasitology.

The Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca-Editorial convenes editors, librarians, and researchers to examine collaborative approaches to academic publishing and to strengthen the visibility and impact of scholarly work. The event focuses on cooperation between libraries and editorial stakeholders in advancing research dissemination.

IntechOpen’s regional representatives for Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, LSR Libros S.A. de C.V., will also participate in the event with a booth, where attendees may connect with the team.

More than 500 UNAM authors and editors have published with IntechOpen. The event provides an opportunity to further engage with and support this academic community through in-person interaction.
