The International Alliance of Research Library Associations (IARLA), a platform for collaboration of five members associations representing research libraries, has released a view of Plan S, an effort by major national research agencies and funders from twelve European countries to advance open access by requiring the results of state-funded research to be available openly at the time of publication.
The member organisations of IARLA — LIBER, ARL, CARL, CAUL and RLUK — welcome moves towards an open access environment for journal articles and aligned funder policies to achieve this. The organisations are therefore supportive of the overall objectives of Plan S as published by cOAlition S.
