The International Fair Convergence Symposium co-organised by CODATA and GO FAIR is scheduled for November 27, 2020 to December 4, 2020. Taking place as a fully virtual event, it will provide a forum for advancing international and cross-domain convergence around FAIR. The event will bring together a global data community with an interest in combining data across domains for a host of research issues – including major global challenges, such as those relating to the Sustainable Development Goals or the COVID-19 pandemic.
On December 2, 2020, Yann Mahé – Managing Director of MyScienceWork and Sally Ekanayaka will discuss on how the integration of Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Text and Data Mining technologies into data repositories responds to institutional repository stakeholders’ needs, and enable computational systems to find, access, interoperate and reuse data with minimal human intervention.
The session explores contemporary challenges to successful data stewardship and multiple functionalities (automated deposit workflows/curation/classification of content, advanced analytical insights) and measurable benefits (for repository users). Also included in the session is a live Q&A for participants to interact directly with the presentators.
Registration to attend the symposium free can be done at https://web-eur.cvent.com/event/c407330f-1b56-49c8-88c4-f51bd7844811/summary.
