The International Journal of Surgery (IJS) has opened up its archive of previously published content: after 24 months published journal issues become available for all to read. A key aim of the IJS is to improve surgical knowledge and patient care and it is hoped that by making these articles available to all will improve efforts to achieve this.
As a general surgical journal, covering all specialties, the International Journal of Surgery is dedicated to publishing original research, review articles, and more - all offering significant contributions to knowledge in clinical surgery, experimental surgery, surgical education and history. The Journal had an impact factor of 1.650 for 2013 and is Indexed and Abstracted in: EMBASE, Scopus and Medline/PubMed.
