Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, recently introduced the Online Manuscript Submission, Tracking and Peer Review System for the journal, International Musculoskeletal Medicine. The system is designed to speed the processing of submissions by facilitating electronic refereeing and streamlining communication with the author and coordination throughout the publication process.
Contributors have the benefit of being able to upload papers direct to the journal by registering at the system homepage at http://imm.edmgr.com. Authors can check the progress of submissions online. Full guidance on the submission procedure, including tutorials and instructions to authors, is available via links from the system homepage. A range of file formats is supported, but authors are advised to check the specific requirements before submitting, particularly regarding artwork presentation and quality.
International Musculoskeletal Medicine is published by Maney on behalf of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine and the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine. The journal publishes research and review papers about pain and dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system. It seeks to encourage better treatment by improving the evidence base for best practice. It is also the official journal of the FIMM Academy and the Danish Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine.
