IOP Publishing and Chinese Academy of Sciences announce archiving deal -

Non-profit scientific publisher Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing, UK, has announced a new deal with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Under the deal, researchers from CAS will now be able to access nearly 140 years of scientific research.

The new arrangement gives researchers access to content published from 2003-2007 and follows previous long-term preservation agreements signed in 2010 and the national license agreement signed with the National Science and Technology Library for the historic archive in 2008. As a result of these arrangements researchers at CAS now have access to IOP content from 1874 to the present day and keep all this data as dark archive.

Chinese Academy of Sciences is a leading academic institution and comprehensive research and development centre in natural science, technological science and high-tech innovation in China.
