Non-profit scientific publisher IOP Publishing (IOP), UK, has endorsed the KBART (Knowledge Bases And Related Tools) Recommended Practice, a joint NISO and UKSG initiative, as part of its commitment to supporting librarians.
The initiative has established industry standards for the timely exchange of metadata between content providers and libraries in OpenURL knowledge bases. Through endorsing the KBART initiative, library professionals can be assured that their library management systems have accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date metadata about IOP Publishing's journals.
