IOP Publishing (IOPP) has announced an exciting expansion of its journal Progress in Energy, which will now include high-impact original research articles in addition to its well-recognised review programme. This extension is part of the developing new Progress In series™, building on the esteemed reputation of IOPP’s Reports on Progress in Physics. The Progress In series™ aims to unite communities dedicated to advancing and exploring progressive research across the physical sciences.
Progress in Energy is a highly selective, multidisciplinary journal committed to publishing groundbreaking research and authoritative invited reviews that significantly contribute to the global transition to renewable energy. The journal aims to facilitate timely and impactful discussions among scientists, policymakers, and practitioners on current issues and developments in energy research.
Dr. David Gevaux, Chief Editor at IOP Publishing, and Professor Nigel Brandon, Dean of Engineering at Imperial College London and Editor in Chief of Progress in Energy, will collaboratively shape the journal’s future direction. An in-house team of expert scientific editors will manage the peer review process to ensure exceptional author service and maintain the journal’s high standards.
Authors publishing in Progress in Energy will have the option to make their work openly available, with article publication charges automatically waived for researchers from low-income countries and discounts provided for authors from lower middle-income countries.
