JIPB editor named one of five crop researchers who could change the world -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced that handling editor of the Journal of Integrative Plant Biology, Professor Jianhua Zhang, has been named one of five crop researchers who could change the world. The Journal of Integrative Plant Biology is an international journal of plant sciences that publishes peer-reviewed papers in three categories - invited reviews, research articles and new technologies.

With the current worldwide crisis in food prices, the need to develop more productive agriculture is greater than ever. The December 2008 issue of "Nature" ran a news story spotlighting five ambitious scientists determined to make a difference. Professor Jianhua Zhang - from the Hong Kong Baptist University, was one of the scientists featured.

The Journal of Integrative Plant Biology aims to report novel and significant information related to any aspect of plant biology, which is relevant to and of interest to not only scientists in the immediate field but also those in biomedical and phytochemical studies. Research articles, published in ten themes, report comprehensive studies in answering biological questions.
