Jisc facilitates open access transition with new resources on UKRI policy compliance -

In response to the evolving landscape of open access publishing and the specific requirements set by UKRI, Jisc has proactively negotiated transitional and open access agreements. These agreements are designed to empower UK research outputs to be published openly, adhering to the mandates of major funders, including UKRI.

Recognizing the challenges faced by smaller or less well-resourced publishers, Jisc has developed a series of downloadable resources. These guides aim to distill essential information, making it more accessible and less daunting for publishers looking to comply with UKRI policies. The overarching message is that multiple pathways exist for publishers to achieve policy compliance, allowing them to adapt based on their specific circumstances.

Each guide in Jisc's resource series provides a comprehensive overview of a specific concept, product, or platform related to open access compliance. These guides cover the processes involved, the benefits for both publishers and institutions, and practical links to examples, additional resources, and further support. The intention is to empower publishers with the knowledge needed to navigate the compliance landscape effectively.

By offering insights into various compliance routes, Jisc aims to empower publishers and institutions alike. The resources act as a valuable tool for understanding the intricacies of UKRI's open access policy, ensuring that research outputs can seamlessly transition into the open access domain.

All the guides are available for download directly from the Jisc website. These resources are positioned as essential references for publishers seeking clarity on compliance options and striving to facilitate the transition to open access seamlessly.
