Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced the publication of the Wiley Registry of Mass Spectral Data, Ninth Edition. Since its original publication, the Registry has helped chemists around the world solve tough problems ranging from making accurate diagnoses to solving crimes to designing new pharmaceuticals. The Ninth edition claims to be 66 percent larger than the previous edition.
With more high-resolution spectra and more searchable chemical structures, the latest edition is projected as an essential reference for every analytical lab, helping researchers fully leverage their mass spectrometers. It features over 660,000 spectra, over 560,000 spectra with searchable structures, and over 2.7 million chemical names and synonyms. Topics covered include pharmaceuticals, illegal drugs, poisons, pesticides, steroids, natural products, metabolites, chemical warfare agents and environmental pollutants.
The publication will benefit a variety of industries including toxicology, forensics, pathology, homeland security, pharmaceutical research, industrial R&D/quality assurance, environmental health and safety and food safety.
