Journal of Infusion Nursing unveils iPad edition at INS conference -

Journal of Infusion Nursing, the official publication of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS), has unveiled an iPad app. It is being showcased at the INS 2012 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, April 28 - May 3. The Journal of Infusion Nursing is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, part of Wolters Kluwer Health.

The app is now available as a free download at the iTunes App Store. After the introductory period, INS members and non-member individual subscribers will continue to have full access via a login process.

INS claims to be the first nursing society to release a journal iPad app to meet the mobile needs of busy nurse specialists. The iPad edition of the journal presents each bimonthly issue in a digital format for a print-like reading experience. Beginning with May/June, each issue is delivered directly to the iPad and includes special enhanced features. These include the ability to share articles and content via e-mail or social media, and linking to the journal website, where subscribers can search, access and read the full contents of every issue of the journal, all the way back to the first issue in 1978. Video and multimedia content — such as demonstrations of evidence-based infusion techniques and procedures —will be added soon.
