The Journal of Public Health Management and Practice (JPHMP), the premier source of practice-based information for public health management expert, has announced the availability of the journal on the iPad to be launched with a special November/December issue. The special issue will focus on public health services and systems research. The journal is published in print, online and digitally by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
The November/December special issue, guest edited by Dr. Glen P. Mays and Dr. Douglas Scutchfield, offers articles based on research funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation exploring public health services and systems research (PHSSR), and its impact on the organisation, financing, and delivery of public health services.
The iPad edition of JPHMP presents each issue in a state-of-the art digital format for a print-like reading experience. Each issue is delivered directly to the reader’s iPad for convenient download and includes enhanced features, such as video, podcasts, and the ability to share articles and content via email. The app also provides links back to the journal website, where subscribers can search, access, complete continuing education opportunities and read the full contents of every issue of the journal from 1995 to the present.
Subsequent issues of the journal will be available on the iPad app on the same bimonthly schedule as the current online and print editions. During an initial trial period, all readers of the journal will have free full access to open issues on the iPad. After this free introductory period, subscribers will continue to enjoy full access via a simple login process.
