The Journal of Scholarly Publishing has called for submissions for a special issue on evolving issues in publication integrity in scholarly publishing. This special issue of JSP will explore a number of the research and publication integrity issues, which researchers experience in the context of the competitive nature of scholarly publishing, and will also explore safeguards to protect and advance integrity in the research and dissemination of new knowledge.
The first two decades of scholarly publishing in the twenty-first century have seen a radical shift in the dissemination of scholarly research through publication. There are many variables contributing to this shift—including increases in the number and types of universities, increases in university ranking systems, increased intervention of governments in funding—and contributing to corollary pressure to compete for research funding and to disseminate research findings.
While the submission deadline is September 1, 2022, early submissions are encouraged.
