Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery has announced an expansion, including rebranding and two new journals.
The open access option in Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES) will be rebranded as JSES International and will focus on the international shoulder and elbow community. Dr. Pierre Mansat will continue to serve as editor in chief.
One of the new journals is Seminars in Arthroplasty: JSES, which will be introduced in spring 2020 and will serve as an outlet for shoulder arthroplasty research. Dr. Theodore A. Blaine and Dr. J. Michael Waiter will serve as co-editors in chief. The other journal JSES: Reviews, Reports and Techniques will become an outlet for shoulder and elbow registry reports, database mining articles, systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Dr. Edward V. Craig and Dr. John W. Sperling will serve as co-editors in chief.
Dr. William J. Mallon will serve as executive editor of the entire JSES Family of Journals. Dr. Mallon will also continue to serve as editor in chief for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery following the expansion.
