Journal of the American Society of Hypertension expands scope and publication frequency -

The Journal of the American Society of Hypertension (JASH), the official journal of the American Society of Hypertension, Inc., has announced an increase in publication frequency. The journal is also broadening its editorial scope.

As of January 2014, JASH's editorial scope will expand to include clinical research papers and clinical trials in hypertension. In addition, the journal will begin monthly publication. JASH will be the only venue for publication of official ASH papers, including society position papers, white papers, and guidelines.

First launched in 2006, JASH began as a bimonthly publication focusing on basic, applied, and translational research in hypertension. Under the editorial leadership of Myron H. Weinberger, M.D., the journal quickly became recognized as an important contribution to the literature. It is indexed by MEDLINE and has a 2012 Impact Factor of 2.835.
