Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine achieves top ten ranking in global medical journals -

The Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine (JRSM) has made history by being ranked among the world’s top ten general medicine journals for the first time. In Clarivate’s 2023 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), JRSM secured the tenth position out of 329 titles in the ‘general and internal medicine’ category, marking its highest ranking to date.

Since 2018, JRSM has steadily climbed the ranks, improving from 28th place among 160 titles. The journal's Impact Factor, which serves as a measure of its significance and influence in the medical field, has seen remarkable growth. JRSM now boasts an Impact Factor of 16.3, a substantial rise from its 2018 figure of 3.538.

The ranking results come after a correction by Clarivate on its original ranking released in June 2024. The JCR evaluates journals based on the number of citable articles published, and JRSM’s ascent highlights its commitment to delivering high-quality research and valuable insights to the medical community.
