JSTOR’s Demand-Driven Acquisition program (DDA) is now available through GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO, helping libraries streamline their ebook acquisition workflows. GOBI’s multi-vendor DDA service prevents content gaps by cascading the DDA option to an available platform based on the library’s preferences. It provides trusted technical services, deduplication, and collection development support.
JSTOR’s ebook program offers 90,000 high-quality titles from scholarly publishers. JSTOR’s unlimited-user, DRM-free access model and seamless integration with journals and primary sources provide an easy and familiar experience for researchers. The program’s tiered savings and generous DDA trigger of seven total item requests ensure a strong value for libraries.
The wide release of the service follows a pilot period with the librarians at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; Portland State University; the University of Sydney; and the University of Maryland, College Park, who provided valuable feedback on the implementation.
