JULAC and Taylor & Francis sign open access agreement to support Hong Kong research -

Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) and Taylor & Francis have signed a three-year open access agreement to support open access publishing for researchers in Hong Kong.

The agreement enables researchers at participating institutions to publish open access articles in more than 2,000 Taylor & Francis and Routledge Open Select hybrid journals without payment of an open access article publishing charge. Articles will be open upon publication and available for access and reuse by readers worldwide.

The agreement supports researchers across disciplines, including research fields with limited funding for open access publishing, such as the Humanities and Social Sciences. The agreement also ensures that faculty and students at participating universities retain access to Taylor & Francis’ journal portfolio.

The agreement includes measures to streamline institutional support for open access publishing. Librarians at participating universities will have access to insights and reports through the Taylor & Francis OA Dashboard, operational assistance, and on-demand training.
