K-State libraries secure new open access publishing agreements -

K-State Libraries has secured three new open access publishing agreements with the following publishers - Company of Biologists, Institute of Physics., and the Microbiology Society.

These new agreements offer K-State faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to publish articles as open access in select journals without paying article processing charges, which are covered by the Libraries' agreement. Because details differ between publishers, it is important to review the open-access publishing link above.

Open access publishing agreements can reduce the cost for researchers to share their works, an important component of improving learning environments. Open access practices can remove longstanding barriers to access and enable greater dissemination of scholarly research.
