Karger brings out new journal on Innate Immunity -

Medical and scientific publisher S. Karger, Switzerland, has announced the publication of the first print issue of the new journal - Journal of Innate Immunity. A bimonthly publication, the journal seeks to provide an international forum for interdisciplinary research in this rapidly growing field. Supported by an international editorial board, the journal is headed by Heiko Herwald and Arne Egesten of Lund University as Editors-in-Chief.

Recognising the steadily increasing interest in and importance of innate immunity, the Journal of Innate Immunity will cover all aspects, including evolution of the immune system, host-pathogen molecular interactions, molecular biology, pattern recognition and signals of 'danger', microbial corruption, host response and inflammation, mucosal immunity, complement and coagulation, sepsis and septic shock, molecular genomics, and development of immunotherapies. In addition to regular papers, every issue of the journal will have a special section with a thematic focus.

The Journal of Innate Immunity is available in print and online at www.karger.com/jin. All articles will be published online first. The 2009 volume is offered free of charge to personal online subscribers.
