Karger Publishers expands open access portfolio with new journal: Maternal and Children’s Health -

Karger Publishers has launched Maternal and Children’s Health, a new Open Access journal dedicated to advancing research on the health of mothers and children. The peer-reviewed journal will cover research spanning the periconceptional, perinatal, and neonatal stages of pregnancy, as well as the development of children into adulthood and beyond.

The journal will explore the dynamic interactions between genetics, environment, and developmental stages, focusing on the health of mothers and children from preconception through to adulthood. Research that examines country-specific policies and interventions aimed at health promotion and disease prevention for maternal and children's health will be of particular interest.

The esteemed Editors-in-Chief for Maternal and Children’s Health are Elaine Boyle, Professor of Neonatal Medicine at the University of Leicester (United Kingdom), and Gian Carlo Di Renzo, Professor of Obstetrics, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Gynecology, and Coordinator of the Reproductive and Perinatal Medicine Research Center at the University of Perugia (Italy).

In line with Karger’s commitment to Open Access publishing, institutions with Transformative Agreements can cover the Article Processing Charges (APC) for their authors, allowing eligible researchers to publish in the journal at no cost. Authors can check if their institution is part of Karger’s Transformative Agreements by visiting the Karger website.

This launch reinforces Karger Publishers’ commitment to expanding its Open Access offerings and furthering research on critical issues related to maternal and children's health.
