Following the great success of the first Vesalius Innovation Award in 2020, Karger Publishers is once again inviting young, innovative startups from all over the world to present their ideas to an expert panel.
Karger Publishers is giving young startups the opportunity to present their innovative, trailblazing, and revolutionary concepts in the field of modern publishing with a focus on Health Sciences and impress an expert Advisory Board with their services.
Magma Learning is the winner of last year’s inaugural Vesalius Innovation Award. In 2021, Karger Publishers is once again taking the opportunity to identify and support the fast-changing needs of the Health Sciences ecosystem within the fields of scientific publication and communication. The five finalists will receive support from Karger Publishers and the members of the Advisory Board. The top three will also receive a cash prize.
When he published “De humanis corporis fabrica” in 1543, the surgeon Andreas Vesalius revolutionized more than just the field of anatomy. His work took typography and illustration to a new level and laid the foundations for a completely new perception of the human body that would be adopted by many subsequent generations down the line. Now in 2021, Health Sciences publishing is ready for another revolution. The shift towards Open Research and increased use of digital technologies in healthcare are fundamentally changing how researchers, doctors, and patients create and consume knowledge.
The closing date for applications is June 6, 2021. You can find more information about the Vesalius Innovation Award at karger.com/via
