Medical and scientific publisher Karger Publishers has announced the appointment of Daniel Ebneter as the new CEO, effective July 1, 2017. He succeeds Gabriella Karger, who will be focusing on her role as the fourth generation Publisher and Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
The new CEO Daniel Ebneter brings an ideal combination of knowledge and experience to Karger Publishers. He will significantly help to shape the strategic and operational development of the company. Daniel Ebneter has a strong background in publishing, digital business, and change management. He previously served as an Executive Board Member of a German publishing group specialising in the field of psychology.
Gabriella Karger will focus on her main tasks as Publisher, developing the publication program as well as further developing Karger's relationships with the scientific community. She will continue to serve as the Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors chaired by Thomas Karger.
Daniel Ebneter will strengthen Karger's Management Board of three, working closely with Gabriella Karger and COO Ural Tufan. Each member of the Management Board assumes responsibility for specific departments and topics, while important decisions will be taken together whenever possible.
