Karger’s Fast Facts courses earn prestigious EACCME® accreditation -

Karger Publishers, a leading name in scientific publishing, has achieved a significant milestone with its Fast Facts e-learning platform receiving the prestigious EACCME® accreditation. The accreditation, granted for a duration of two years with the possibility of extension, underscores Karger’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational resources for healthcare professionals worldwide.

In securing the EACCME® accreditation, Karger underwent a rigorous review process, ensuring that its Fast Facts platform adheres to the stringent criteria set forth by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®). With a focus on noncommercial content, clearly defined learning objectives, absence of conflicts of interest, and rigorous quality control measures, Karger has demonstrated its dedication to promoting continuous professional development in the medical community.

Thirteen courses are now EACCME®-accredited, with plans to expand the portfolio to include up to 50 courses over the next two years. Additionally, Fast Facts podcasts will also be available in the accredited course format, offering healthcare professionals convenient access to valuable educational resources.

The significance of EACCME® accreditation lies in its recognition by healthcare professionals worldwide, providing European CME credits (ECMEC®) that are accepted not only in European countries but also in the USA and Canada. This accreditation streamlines the process for healthcare professionals to obtain and report CME credits to their national accreditation authorities, fostering greater accessibility and standardization in medical education.

Karger’s EACCME®-accredited e-learning material is now listed on the EACCME website, facilitating easy access for healthcare professionals seeking accredited educational resources. Alongside this achievement, Karger has also obtained the Patient Information Forum (PIF) TICK accreditation for its “Fast Facts for Patients” information series, further cementing its reputation as a trusted source of healthcare information.

Fast Facts not only promotes health literacy but also fosters active collaboration with patient advocacy groups in information development, ensuring relevance and accessibility. The platform’s impact extends beyond professional education, with Karger’s medical handbooks reaching all UK-based NHS staff, providing unlimited free access to a wealth of knowledge spanning various therapeutic areas.

As Karger continues to innovate and expand its educational offerings, its commitment to excellence in medical education remains unwavering, empowering healthcare professionals and patients with valuable knowledge and resources.
