The Thieme Group has announced the appointment of Katrin Siems to the newly created Marketing and Sales division on the Management Board with immediate effect. The Marketing and Sales division bundles all Thieme activities related to customer approach, customer loyalty, various sales channels and distribution partners.
Katrin Siems has been involved in the launch and sale of electronic products at Springer Nature after her training as a publisher and degree program in foreign trade and international management. She then worked for Berlin's science publisher De Gruyter as Director Business Development. After just one year, she joined De Gruyter's Vice President Sales & Marketing and was a member of the executive board. In this position, she led Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Rights and Licenses.
In 2013, Katrin Siems moved to Beuth Verlag, where she was responsible for marketing, sales, customer service and CRM. With this, the market-leading provider of media and services in medicine and chemistry is even better prepared for the challenges of the future, which will be shaped in particular by digitisation.
