Johns Hopkins University Press has appointed Kelley Squazzo as Director of Project MUSE, effective immediately. Squazzo brings over two decades of experience in scholarly and educational publishing, with a focus on digital platforms serving the humanities and social sciences.
Since joining Project MUSE in 2018, she has held several leadership roles, most recently as Director of Library & Publisher Partnerships. In that position, she oversaw the implementation of the Subscribe to Open (S2O) model for journals and led initiatives to expand Spanish-language book offerings from Latin American university presses.
Her previous roles at Johns Hopkins University Press and Wolters Kluwer included oversight of publishing operations, the development of sustainable access models, and coordination of digital strategy across multiple teams.
As Director, Squazzo will guide Project MUSE’s ongoing work to support scholarly publishing through technological development, expanded global engagement, and collaborative partnerships across the academic community.
